Yeah I mistype that completely it was supposed to say Mac or iphone/ipod touch owners.
Not trying to butt into this lovely discussion, but why would non iphone/ipod touch owners need to have them? I don't own one, ipso facto I don't care to have the tools. Surely it's also available to oh, I don't know, people the develop applications anyway, so.. I'm failing to see your point here.
The point I was making, was that as long as the iPod Touch has a wealth of 3rd party applications available from a huge developer community, an open API and SDK tools provided for free, the Zune does not stand a chance. Since 99.99% of people keep their music as mp3's, there is absolutely no way one device can play music better than the other, they both have large touch screens, both are razor thin, both have the standard browser support, so the device from manufacturer cannot beat each other in anything but personal preference. What makes the iPod Touch better is the huge amount of 3rd party content. THE ZUNE DOES NOT HAVE THIS, AND IT IS NOT SOMETHING MICROSOFT CAN SIMPLY ADD ON AT A LATER DATE.
C1, you clearly don't understand what an SDK is other than your warped understanding of what wikipedia says, so I'll illlustrate this more clearly. An SDK is a collection of tools and applications for a given API (which is a programming framework) or operating system, that allow people to develop software for said environment. You don't need an SDK to develop applications, but as it is there is no support from the Zune for 3rd party development, as far as I'm aware of.
Regardless, very few people would develop applications for an mp3 player anyway. The vast majority of applications available to the iPod Touch are iPhone applications, which natively work on the iPod Touch (their operating systems are nearly identical).
Nonono. You're wrong.
The SDK for the iPhone sucks... because. You're..
You have to have an iPod Touch/iPhone to use it! Can't use that stuff with a Zune!!! THEREFORE A ZUNE IS BETTER.
I'm having a hard time following .c1's logic... if you can call it that.
Me and some friends wanted to Objective-C plus the iphone or touch to create some apps. Not as a profession but for experience. We could compile the objective-c code but we couldn't find an iphone emulator, then found out we would actually need the iphone or the mac iphone emulator to test that apps. You know seeing if everything worked properly, the gui, exception handling, and etc.
I believe it was in Zune 2.0, but you could develop games for the Zune using XNA framework using C# Express Edition.
Really? I suppose you have information so I can verify?
I can see how your having a hard time following me, seeing how I never said the SDK suck or the Zune was better so yeah umm...yeah
lol. Learn to punctuate. Again, more nonsensical posting from the retard in the back.
I like the zunes because they have the technology to send a song to another zune with out any kind of cords, Apple doesn't have that and any other company can make a touch mp3 player with apps but i have yet to see any with wireless transferring
You can if you're within the same network. I have an App specifically to let me do that on my iPod.
yeah my English and grammar sucks, I already know that.
I reread backwards and took out the but. So there ya go.
Some what revised
Go for a Creative Zii
Did they release a consumer version?
Not yet, the egg (developer) is releasing at the end of this month sometime. I assume the consumer version will be released by Christmas though.
Lol I just have a USB stick like mp3 player.
But it does what it needs to do and that is: Play Music
Never knew what was fun about watching a movie on the size of a screen from a mobile phone.
Well I gotta wait and see then!
