also make sure the case even fits the dang card, i've heard horror storries about the crappy dell cases nto even fitting in higher end cards.
in that case you'de need a new case(or to spend a bit of time witha dremel doing some mods)
if you get a new case, you'de have to get a new motherboard as well since Dell now uses BTX formfactor cases.

also, the 8800GTS 320mb is a comparative POS now that the 8800GT and radeon 3870 are out. Both outperform it and cost less(atleast based on MSRP)

Ah, yet another reason to replace a Dell motherboard.

well, BTX is a better design... it's just it has poor industry support. It was supposed to completely replace BTX back in 05 or so but it never happened. Probably would have been best if the ATX standard was extended. Inverted ATX isn't too bad and doesn't really have any additional implementation costs.

Thanks for the posts guys, and I was aiming to buy a ThermalTake case.
And I just decided to go one step further with the graphics card.

I hate neons and LEDs. My case is completely light free, and It looks so much better.

    i'm generally agreeing

most of the time LEDs aren't done right. you want a soft subtle glow, not the burst of light most give off.
If I were to add LEDs, which I might in the future(it'll be a while though) they'd be small underpowered things and they'd be hidden beneath the board such that I'd basically get a subtle glow coming form the underside of the board.

Yeah, I'm considering etching my gaming team logo into my side window, and mounting a few small LEDs into the corners of the window so the diffused edges of the etching will glow, but nothing else. Did it on a phase change cooler a friend of mine was making. As so
