    erm, rofl? no amd processor is touching 4 ghz in any dream that i have read... that extreme overclocking of the AMD Duron on Google Videos got close, but blew up. Sorry mate, two cores doesnt mean you multiply the clock speed by two. my pentium d is 2.8 ghz.... but trust me, its core speed is not 5.6 Ghz

    Well what ever it is on all the places ive looked they are advertised at 4GHz, 2 x 2GHz.

    im sorry bona, i meant there is no way that a x2 3800+ could reach 4 Ghz.

    The highest I've seen an X2 3800+ go is 3.6GHz. And that was with 1.72V and single-stage cascade cooling. I don't think we'll be seeing any 4GHz 3800+'s.

    Anyhow, a 2.6GHz AMD processor is still > a 4GHz Intel processor.

    and yes they have broken the 4GHZ barrier a while back as Boner suggested by his link due to OC'ing - Kinda crazy though
