People who are new to things don't just magically figure them out within minutes. You're obviously not fit to teach him if you get impatient with him because he doesn't know what he's doing (do you expect him to know it all before even touching it?). I suggest pointing him to good-tutorials, if you're incapable of showing him a fair bit of techniques without getting irritated of course.

eh, I had to teach my older sister photoshop.
luckily, she's pretty computer inclined, so I didn't have to teach her much.
pretty soon, I'm gonna have to teach my girlfriend photoshop though. -_-
    lol.

My mum wanted to edit something in Photoshop so I taught her... well, tried to.
It took over half an hour just to get a good text effect.
She's like, "I don't like the look of that now" or "How do I get this kind of effect?" and it was hopeless. :\

My sister (19) used Photoshop CS2, but she didn't knew how to use it.

So, I teach her a lil'bit, and after a while: "What does this program do..?"

OMFG!! I really freaked out xD
I teached her stuff and all, and after a long time, she asked that!! xD xD
