Well guys it true, I had to show my dad how to use photoshop. It took me so long you would know i got questions from him like :

How do you create a new file?
How do you copy and paste?
    How do you save it?

I really got pi55ed off with him it was really annoying. I felt like telling him he was past it.

Anyone else had this kind of situation?

Well if its your dad I would assume it would take a little longer to pick up. Considering his age and how much experince he has, it seems logically that he wouldn't know how to create a masterpiece or create the canvas for a piece of art. I mean, we all started not know how to cut and paste. Just give him time, and I'm sure he'll figure it out soon.

You dont get it, my dad has had no computer experience before. I had to teach him how to burn cd's and dvd's. Use ebay and paypal. And how to switch on a pc

My family is very technologically inclined, so I didn't really have to show them anything. The most I really have to do is show my dad how to fix the internet.

I think the worst that ever happened to me was when I had to teach my mom how to send emails to more than one person at a time. Apparently the words "copy" and "paste" aren't in her vocabulary. :D

there isnt enough time in life to create a fool-proof tut on how to use your pc and applications on it.

Hehe that happens to me a lot, but not always with family members. If i happen to do a sig or something for a friend and send it to him through Yahoo!, they almost always go like "Oh, can you teach me how to make a picture like that in Paint ?" or "Haha that looks easy, can you teach me how to make one too ?". Stuff like that really annoy me because they can't understand these things and i don't have time to explain them most of the times. I'm not a very patient person :P

i have the odd problem of helping like 12-15 year olds with computers
it's worse cuz their cries for help are high pitched and when one kid asks one question 15 will ask 5 seconds later just to be annoying
dont ever sign up to help middle school graphics teachers BAD IDEA
im acutally looking forward to teaching my older sister who is like 27 it will be easier
