Its the colors...try to use new colors in ur next one. And not just one shade of the same, but different colors.
It's definitely a very unique and interesting look, although I don't know how practical it would be to use it (in terms of space and user-friendliness...) But it's definitely cool.
i just thought about that heh, i was just bored so i decided to make a template... i guess u could use tables for the content and stuff tho

NO OFFENSE.. its a good layout but i just dont feel this one.. uhmm maybe try to make it more eye catching.. i dont know what i dont like about it it just bugs me x.x
The first I thought when I saw it was the bottom of a space ship, specially with the abstract banner. Interesting and original layour, not to bad content wise either. The things I think could improve would be changing either the interface style of the site to match the banner OR changing the banner to match the interface (I would prefer #1). Now IMO they don't really fit together, pixellook with abstract and very soft style of the banner. Well thats simply not my taste =) The login button is ugly, remake! Secondly the colors, very dark and what can you say, sharp colors. Maybe something less intense blue, maybe like some of the lighter blues in the banner. And do not combine it with black, something dark sure but not pure black since it is very eye-exhausting to read on. My comments in this case is very based on my taste so if you're happe with the style go with it =)
i dont really like the look of how. How it comes down sorta like a bottle neck just doesnt appeal to me that much.
