ok my main question is this: will the xbox 360 be backwards compatable or not? also this: are they also thinking about making halo 2.5? (halo 2 just with enhanced graphics and taking out some of the glitches)
Im not sure if it will be backwards compatible, but it seems the logical thing to do. Nintendo, sony and others do it so i think microsoft will make it backwards compatable, I havnt seen any info on it though, might go and check it out.. As for halo, no idea, you need to ask the makers
Last I heard, it will not be backwards compatible. Check the Bungie site for your other question, if they plan on it, they will usually announce it ^_^

That's dumb, the Xbox is already large enough, and it would be a waste to keep switching from console to console to play a game on normal Xbox.
I've always heard it will be backwards compatible. Why shouldn't it be? They both have a DVD player, lol.
Only certain games they remake will be backwards compatible. Once the new Xbox live gets underway, they'll be posting patches and/or roms to play regular Xbox games on the system. Pretty lame if you ask me. Never liked Xbox anyway...
I never saw the point of backwards compatible but maybe its just me. Like the PS2, I have tons of PS1 games but I don't think I've ever put one of them in my PS2. Its an interesting novelty but personally I would never take advantage of it.
People, remember the person who had a 360? And was playing halo 2? Well it is backward compatable but only for the best games, all the others you will need to keep Xbox, so don't sell it.
I use my PS2 to play PS1 games all the time. I hate having to hook up my PS1 because i dont have much room where my games are. And for Gameboy games. I always play any Gameboy games on my GBA. Its just easier. Also because the PS2 controller is better than the PS1 imo. And the GBA is just overall better than the GameBoy.
