That's the main complaint I hear from the new dashboard - "they're copying the Wii and the PS3". I don't have an Xbox so it won't effect me but I personally don't like it. I don't like the dashboard now either but I think it looks much better then this one. Just cross your fingers and hope its better than it looks.
i agree wat u said Basaiken but like blckinfi said i think this will be better for the community but also the whole xbox live going down and stuff get's anoyying but in the long run i think it will be better for the community
im assuming that since they took live offline for a full 24 hrs that when they release the new dashboard this holiday season that its just going to be an update rather than maintenance again, right?
well, from the new videos ive seen they have skins to choose from like the usual xbox themes that you can download, but they look pretty intense. it actually changes my view on the look. I think they might pull it off
yea the stuff they are putting in are pretty neat but just like u said hopefully they do pull it off.
This is possibly the most intelligent comment in the entire thread. Considering all the PS3 and Wii fans, of course there are going to be comments made about "copying" and such, but I tend to agree with the fact that every system has copied from each other at one time or another, and that sometimes the results are better than the original. Improvements are needed in the gaming world, and they can not only be achieved by taking new ideas, but also refining older ideas, even those of other systems. What it comes down to is that Microsoft CAN pull this off. There are always going to be changes, and there are always people that will be on the conservative side of the issue, but for the most part change is good and without it we'd be living in the stone age.
