I know that, Im just saying though, if some random company made a console with like far greater mods then the current nextgen consoles, do you think it would be as sold out as the consoles made to this day?
You just proved his point. Sony made fewer amounts of the PS3's and still made just as much if not more then Microsoft did, just because they were able to up the prices. Give Sony a few months to see what it can do to face Microsoft, then we'll all have another fancy talk. Also, the core is not rubbish. If you so please, buy a core and buy a 40GB hard drive for $40; then learn how to mod the hard drive from xboxscene or hackaday, and bam.

Xbox base system 200$ PS3 base system 500$ and right now most games are looking better on the xbox... you'de have to be crazy to go PS3... either crazy, or at the very least rather stupid and ignorant about the comonents in the two systems. ============================= on a completely un related note... Wiis now go for around $500-700 on ebay... PS3s go for like $600-1000. That's a 100-180% markup on the wii and a 20-40% markup on the PS3... and the PS3 is most certainely more powerful in every aspect... it's just a disapointment at it's cost and is only kept going by hundreds of mindless fanboys. on another note -
John... Sony looses around 200$ a system for each sale... They aren't making millions they are loosing millions. They do however make their money on game sales... Sony needs around 8 game sales t break even, microsoft with the xbox 360 at 200 probably needs around 5, and nintendo needs like 2. it's all about money and Sony was an f'ing idiot this time around. No wonder their profits are down all around PS3=titanic=dreamcast
This argument is pointless, It all comes down to opinion :-\ The PS2 was supposed to be so great, and so awsome compared to the XBOX however, we all know how that one went... XBOX dominated Same goes with the PS3 and XBOX:360 the main difference is, most of the PS Only titles are no longer PS only.. Final Fantasy is going to be on the 360, The new GTA is launching on both consoles instead of the PS first. Honestly, the only title I can think of that is famous and PS only is MGS4 :-\ Either way, with the shortage of PS3's and WII's this time of year, I am pretty sure the 360 is going to get a boost in sales just because parents are wanting to get their kids a next gen console, so if there are no ps3's and wii's they will turn to the 360 I doubt sony will die, there are to many loyal customers that buy PS's simply for the name. Same goes with all the WIItard fanboys and fangirls, It's a gamecube, with a new controler and name!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
