I've been doing some research, reading reviews, and some other things. I've pretty much set my mind on this card:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814131010

I plan on using it mainly for Battlefield 2, and the new upcoming Battlefield game.

My only worries are that i've seen alot of complaints on it overheating, and causing crashes. Some people said to get a Arctic Cooling System, but i'm not sure which one to get. If somebody could please get me a link from newegg with the cooler that will fit with card, and put it here, i would really apprectiate it. And if anybody has this card, to let me know what they think about it.

not to fear, XmasterX has the same card here.

I have a x800 myself, cant remember the 3rd party that made it, but it's been good to me. (I can take a look when i get home)

It only overheated when i was playing a game on immensly high graphics for 3 hours on end.. other than that, its fine, just put all your games on medium, and youll be fine.

I'm currently looking at watercooling to help that pitiful fan on the gpu...

that's my bit, Im sure Xelink will say the same, as he reccomended it to me..

Thanks for the info MAster, I will just buy the card for now, and a cooling unit later on if problems come up. Can you run BF2 on it?

I have ran BF2 on default settings, then i tried to up it to medium, worked great still, then I tried to up it to 1280 x 1024, and my computer restarted, lol.... just put it on medium settings, and around 1024 x 768..

also tried B&W2 on there, worked alot better than my 5500 on my socket A board...

    no prob, Aiden..

BTW, the 3rd party card i got was from PowerColor

in the past 6 months the x850XT went from 250 to 100 and the x800GTO went from 180 to 90.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814102688

I have to recomend the x850XT, it's only slightly mroe expensive and you certainely get what you pay for. x800GTO would still eb a good second choice.

EDIT: you have AGP, not PCI-e, then yeh go for the pro.

    I dunno, do you?
It is really pointless for me to say this as everyone else pretty much all ready has.

But ditch the idea of the x800GTO and just go with the better card for less money in the x850XT.

Err turk. The x850XT is PCI-E. He needs AGP (which is where the x850PRO comes in!)
