I was thinking about increasing the graphics to make the game look better. I learned from here that I can in fact make it look so much better. I was just thinking, how do I do this? Do I just type in /console and then the things I want to change? And what if I want to change it back to the normal settings?

Also, will it effect the performance in any way?

these are the settings I plan to use:

    /console showDetailDoodads
    /console showLowDetail
    /console horizonfarclip 2112
    /console farclip 777
    /console groundEffectDensity 256
    /console detailDoodadAlpha 100
    /console characterAmbient 0
    /console maxLOD 3
    /console SkyCloudLOD 3

    here's my setup:

    CPU: Intel Pentium D 3.00GHz
    Memory: 2GB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT 256MB
    Monitor: 1440x900
OS: Microsoft Windows XP ----- (Build Service Pack 22600)

Not exactly a World of Warcraft genius, so I can't help you too much with this, as to how it will effect and how to default settings, however, chances are if you want to find out if it will effect your speed, run world of warcraft on your version and something like photoshop at the same time, if it copes then it will probably cope in the upgraded graphics tech.

Alternatively it's a complete fake and the guys got his comp set up to a huge screen or projector so can run massive resolutions and get amazing quality, but that's quite a sceptical view on it.

So try it and see. if you have problems at the moment I wouldn't recomend it, otherwise go ahead, and best place I guess to find out how to reset would be the WoW forums themselves.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello LostUchiha,

I too have saw this video, and use this method to improve graphics. To do so is either type a certain one you like:
/console showDetailDoodads it's the same as if you were to /wave

if you want them all simple create a macro:
Press escape, then select macros create a new one and simply copy and paste

    /console showDetailDoodads
    /console showLowDetail
    /console horizonfarclip 2112
    /console farclip 777
    /console groundEffectDensity 256
    /console detailDoodadAlpha 100
    /console characterAmbient 0
    /console maxLOD 3
    /console SkyCloudLOD 3

in it, then click the macro

If you want to reset it for whatever reason create another macro and type this:
    /console groundEffectDensity 16
    /console groundEffectDist 1
    /console horizonfarclip 1305
    /console farclip 177
    /console characterAmbient 1
    /console smallcull 1
    /console skycloudlod 1
    /console detailDoodadAlpha 1

edit: also a side note, my specs are 512mb 6600 gt, and boy do I lag lol, in shat I cannot even move, however in bg's and arena and basic world environment it's good.
No doubt in my mind that you shouldn't benefit from this.

you'll likely want to cut a bit back on the draw distance and the ground density if it's laggy. grass while simple tends to add up after a bit and while the 8600 isn't a horrible card it's not exteme or anything.

    few thigns to consider
    latest drivers
    http://downloads.guru3d.com/ForceWare-174....nload-1901.html
(leaked betas but rather nice drivers in my own experience)
and if you're up to it OC the card
