Yes , once you reach level 40 your able to buy a mount , each race has different types of mount , if your honored with your Racial city it will cost you 90g , and if you are a Sergeant ( Rank in PVP ) it will be 80g , theres also the epic mounts once you hit 60 you can get them but the normal price if your honored would be 900g , and if your a rank Sergeant in pvp it will be 800g , heres the link for further information http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/basics/mounts/

If you're hardcore you can easily reach level 40 real quick. Just make sure you're not too hardcore like this girl from china. I remember reading the news saying she died due to lack of sleep playing wow... crazy people these days.
Level 40 mount - 80 gold + 20 gold to train it - 60% faster than walking Level 60 mount - 1000 gold - 100% faster than walking Warlocks + Paladins get special quests at level 40 and 60 to get special mounts (warlocks is a big faming horsy, paladins is a armoured horse)
ya in China so many people are dying of malnutrition that in some places they put a 3 hour only rule for playing WoW...that's how addicted they were. Kinda sad. My bro goes on raids that last like 14 hours and he insists that there is no way he can take any less time.
