The problem with WoW is equipment = power which means it's easy for an ebayer to become one of the best plyaers int he game. Guild Wars is about strategy and that's why alot of WoW players find it boring because it's more then, attack this guy and hope we win. In Guild Wars you need to rely on your skill(equipment does help to an extent), but you need to know what skills interact well together and build your team of players that will interact well together.
I bought Factions yesterday. Im already sick of it, and Im thinking of eBaying it. Ive played WoW and still do, and I said WoW is just better. Nothing about GW is fun to me.
I say go for WoW, it's just better than GW, and it has a cool universe, with lots of races and classes and stuff. Plus the high level armor sets and weapons look freaking awesome.
Guild Wars is well worth the money since it's so cheap, the community is good but WOW has more things to do but costs you 200x the cash so I pick GW.
GW better for money WoW better for gameplay and more to do i think if you have the time to invest WoW is better... but you need time.
if you prefer to run around solo and be a loner then WoW but if you like to be able to interact with others during your quests and have guild wars etc then GW GW ftw cos of the one off payment
I dont have either, but a lot of my friends do GW - gets old pretty quick I think, but overall fun game, no fee for playing and better if ur tight on cash, and not totally obsessed. WoW - addictive drug from what ive heard. Awsome game, good stuff, but can take LOTS of time for raids and it's very addicting from what ive heard. plus money wise its not very friendly imo but good game if you have time and $$$
I gotta say World of Warcraft takes out Guild Wars instantly in my mind. I have played Guild Wars and I got bored after 10 minutes (at friends house). I have WoW and since almost 2 years after purchase I still enjoy the feel of going around the place. I thought GW lacked gameplay and the way to catch the attention of a player. Just my opinion, but WoW :censored: owns GW.
