hey, this looks really good but i would say that the lighting needs a bit of work, doesnt quite feel natural which I guess is the effect you're going for. keep it up!
I don't mind criticism to be honest, it's just when people point out stupid ---- like "blend the planet more" or "planet's texture is weird" that ticks me off. I mean, I WANT it to stand out, not blend in with the sky so it looks like some random ---- is just floating there. I'll take some of this into consideration, mainly the sky. I'll work on it again tomorrow, and post a version here. And like I said, this was a screenshot. That's why there's a black border. The reason there are black patches on the ground is from the terrain. What the canvas shows isn't the entire terrain, just roughly a 25%. There are higher cliffs and hills that are causing the shadows. Remember, this is a 50% view of the actual picture. Most of the details like the stars aren't clear so they look smudged.
