The bars behind the words are not very metallice but the rest of it looks awesome. If your thinking of putting this onto your site, I would give the users a choice of skins, becuase this is slightly too dark for some members that would prefer a lighter one.
I really like this effect, but still i think you can do some improvements. like: 1. remove or find an alternative (like rimfire said, wires) instead of those metal bars that links everything togheter (personaly i think it would be better to remove them, it would be impossible to code the template in a good looking way if you keep them. almost. .) 2. replace the satins with low opacity gradients. 3. remove the scanlines in the background, replace them with those darker 'plates', i love those! good work!
