it's okay, I like the idea but the design just doesn't look right for some reason.

I think its ugly, all websites that use this type of template are ugly, I just dont like it. But for some somments on ways to improve I think you can try centering things a bit more and like others said make it look more rounded like metal and wires do.

ahh, looks pretty nice, but looks more like plastic, not metal.

Needs some scruffiness, color, contrast, and some details added to the metal to add a old worn look, right now it looks like plastic.

and what Rimfire siad is just an opinion, least he didn't take it to far as to just dis the ---- outta of it. Every template deserves something, since they take much more work then a sig, but everybody has there own style. I like metal looks as well, so clean freaks bash my work, but metal-fans love it, its all about what you like and dont like.

overall its not lookin to bad.

    - Lacks contrast
    - Great idea, not very appropriate for a website design though, it will not work well
    - Will be extremely hard to code, unless you want to put yourself in the dreadfulness of Iframes
    - You don't seem to be achieving the effect you are going for, which is i'm assuming an interface/tech style
    - The scanlines are horrid, get rid of those

    lol, easy to fix problem.

lol, but for people that rip on others in this whole section (not blaming you dark rider, just happened to quote you =P) - everybody has there own sense of taste for temps, and templates take a good deal of work usually, unless posted otherwise of course. You can tell em things you think can improve it, but when you post nonsense, expressing your opinion in the most simple minded way (i.e. "it sucks") its just spam taking up space. So just on the style, not on your own personel tastes, and try not to be so simple minded as to hate everything of one style.

Anyway, just trying to keep the peace amongst this section, since there has been so many flames in the past that designers get dragged into, and when your template thread is turned into a flame, and people take sides, you realize you shouldn't of posted it here. Anyway, back on topic.

Keep at it and you should do fine.
