Every time I either install Windows XP or Windows Vista I always have a problem when the installation is done. Either every time I download something and every file ends up being corrupt, or I cant install files that work perfectly fine on my laptop and diont work on my desktop. Does anyone have any clue as of what could be wrong witht he hardware? I will buy what part I need fixed, but id just wrather not buy a whole new computer since this one is not even a year old.
Most likely the Hard Drive. Second most likely is the memory. I would put my money on the Hard Drive tho.
Im not retarted, I know how to install windows. I have had many pc's and not have a problem, now I do have a problem and thats why I posted here to see if someone would help me.
did you install drivers and anything possibly needed for your motherboard, or Ethernet adapter or cpu? if you ask me those could be the culprit, or id go with Matt and say its the hard drive.
Either every time I download something and every file ends up being corrupt, or I cant install files that work perfectly fine on my laptop and diont work on my desktop is that the problem? if so check your connection.
Like said up there, its possibly your harddrive on its way out, which is currupting files because of bad sectors. thats my insight on the problem. hope you get it fixed man.
At the first installation with windows vista I did install HD Sound, Ethernet Adapter, etc... then I realized that when I update vista it does everything at once so then I reformatted my computer after realizing that it didn't work and tried the updat drivers instead, but it does the samething. Its not my connection, I went over to someone elses house with my computer and it didn't change a thing. Im getting a hd in a few day so hopefully it will work... Thanks everyone for trying to help...
