lets also clarify that Vista will run fine with 512 MB, but you wont be able to run many more 'big' programs/games at the same time. Good luck running an 800 Mhz processor on Vista. I was using a Pentium 3, 256 mb RAM computer and it wasnt having a happy time running windows 98. It probably says to have Internet so you can get security updates, etc.
