So I have windows media player 10 installed. But here is the problem.

When ever I go to open a video file. Any video file, windows trys to install some kind of photo gallery.

But everytime it trys to install it fails and I have to exit out of 40 pop up windows.

So here is my question, how do I get it to go away? Or.. Where can I install this photogallery thing at?

You may have something "checked" to install or open whenever you open WMP. Check the properties dialogue boxes.

If this was a recent upgrade or install of WMP10 you should have a restore point created for you.

Or uninstall and reinstall paying very close attn to which things are "checked off" as your going thru the install.

Yes, Spybot and Adaware are invaluable tools for this stuff.

LMFAO... man, I am not sure what to tell you. Erm, is their anything in your Tools>Options...>Plugins(Tab) that you think could be suspicious? If so look into it and see what you may or may not need to do. Also, if you are running some sort of MCE version of XP it may have something extra for WMP 10 such as mine did. But other than that, I have no clue.

XD, of course windows is pissing you off, it's Microsoft. It sucks, stop using Windows.

Anyway as for your problem. Reinstall WMP, and pay attention to the stuff that you have checked off when you install it.

Windows does not suck. The fact that most virus, adware, spyware, and malaware is more directed toward the HUMONGOUS, space-taking registry of Windows is the part that gets to people. Though, some people like the little P.O.S that pops up when you put the curser over the start button that tells you to "Click here to begin." Though it just takes space, like most ---- from Windows OS's, some people feel the need to have it that way. Since it is the most recognised OS out there more people tend to target that specific maker for all these harm-causing, bitch ass add-ons that no one wants. Windows likes to call them "options." I find it funny that Windows call all the third party software "Legacy." Think about it.

Erm... I am not too sure. But I think so. Since I worked with some Macs I have noticed they also have an "Anti-Virus" so I would say it is there for a reason. =)

Actually it is for possible to make Viruses for OS X and for all operating systems. The fact is that so many people use Windows that they would be wasting their time to make viruses for other oses.

    You have spyware, period.

If anti-virus, anti-spyware doesn't detect it then you have rootkit.
