Be prepared to lose data. This excerpt from the Windows Blog:
As much as the Windows 7 Beta completely rocks, part of the beta process is discovering bugs and reporting those bugs. Some of those bugs could possibly lead to data loss. I tend to be a risk-taker myself and have gone all-out with the Windows 7 Beta by putting it on almost all my PCs both at work and at home, but not everyone should do this.
+ the newspaper. Mate, try googling
It's unwritten forum rule "Mate," post links when you say something controversal to the original post. And as that quote states, it's beta, it's GOING to have bugs, if you don't want to deal with bugs, wait till official release, but hey it's microsoft and they failed with getting rid of bugs in Vista even years after official release. Hence the release of 7 beta. But anyways, beta is beta, beta = bug finding release.
im gonna wait for the release..
So far, all the builds that were leaked, have been solid. But obviously 7000 is the best right now.
Lightweight, but still looks great, and has nice effects.
The taskbar is pretty sick too, I love 7.
Glad to hear it, i still have yet to install, just need to figure out the dual boot. =|
"Windows 7 beta 1 performance - How does the OS compare to Vista and XP?"
Just a quick question. How would I get vista back if I don't have a restore disk? But I do have my key.
I have it installed only issued I had was drivers for my sound card but found a fix for it Creative driver support is usually bad anyway. It seemed to run smoother compared to Vista but I only used it for about an hour. I will have to test it out more and see how other stuff runs on it
