To everyone of you ignorant b------- that thinks you can simply nuke everyhing you don't like. If the US would, in their stupidity, ever launch a single nuke at any country you can bet that you'll pay, tenfold. There's a reason to why no one uses weapons like that it since WWII. And as some of you have said earlier, I think the US will fall from power at some point in the future. Every single superpower before them has fallen. Believe it or not, even Sweden was a superpower once during the Middle Ages and for a period of time no one wanted to mess with them either. Then a young king decided to conquer parts of Russia (doh!) and that would be the downfall of the Swedish "empire". I've also read something about how countries "behave" during a certain age. During the Middle Ages alot of european contries were warring with each other, right? Well most of these countries were less than/around 300 years old at that point. Now look at how old/young the US as a country is and what they are doing right now. Kind of made me go " " when I read it

Everything that was once powerfull will fall, just look it up the history, ill give you some examples: - The ducth conquer of the trades. - The roman empire. - USSSR - England - Germans during WWII. The next step is America...Yes America. It will be outclassed (Econimocally) by China and the countries around that. Lets just face it. China has some awesone stats: - Fast growing population. - Fast growing econimic. - Many people who can 'work' - THe right spirit when it comes to working. well,we have had battles lost,but not wars to be exact.some of our ancestors,the indians,have fallen many times in the indian war.but us today,probably not.we have the technology and weapons to stand tall with a defense.if our enemy can outwit us we,like allways,find a way to outwit them.could we fall in the future?yes.even though our enemies might not have has good weapons,nuclear power is an important role.they could be bombing us right now,but they dont have the time ^_^

This topic is sort of touchy isn't it? Like half would agree and the other half would deny it and it would eventually become a flaming topic? As much as I'd like to lie to myself that things will last forever, I can't help to believe that everything is a cycle, everything that has a beginning has an end, which basically refers to power of nations as well. Just like the examples Bratzer listed, I'm pretty sure we've all read them up in history, so basically I wouldn't be amazed the next civilization would happen. This is just my 2 cents on what I believe, and I don't have the rights to judge, the future will be judged by time, we only make assumptions as humans and choose what we want to believe in.
duh it wil, look at the nat'l debt. What I see happeneing is that other countries will grow impatient with america, america will also attempt to nulify the national debt which will begin WIII and then everyone on earth will be ****ed over. Fortunately thougfh, I should be then, as well as my children.
