the ps3 controlelr has a tilt sensor too why buy the wii when you could get a sony with the same functionalities?
Because the Wii-mote has more motion sensing functionality than PS3's. Wii got more than tilting. Another answer would be that it would be much simplier for non-gamers to play than PS3's button. The Wii-mote and the PS3's controller and Eye-Toy would be equal in things.
I wouldn't buy it due to the fact that my Gamecube got two months of use and then it sits in the corner leering at me.... threatening to eat my PS2. I just don't find the games for the Nintendo systems as engaging as PS gets. The best RPGs hit the Sony system... it's not a matter of which company's hardware is better, Sony can pay the big bucks to own the rights to those games exclusively for their system. So if I want to play the games I like to play, I have to have the system that gets them. The only game "series" I stupidly continue to enjoy across platforms is Harvest Moon. Don't know why... it's just so amazingly simple, mind numbing and yet fun. :lol:
im with spircles... I agree with the innovation that nintendo has been creating, but I could care less about the system compared to the games... the entire reason I bought the GC was for RE4, and now its out on PS2... I am not buying the PS3 because of its capability of blue ray, possible 0 waiting time loads, enhanced graphics, etc. I am mainly buying it for the games. I mean if I was into FPS id have the XBOX 360, but I am more of a storyline type person. RPGs, Horror Survival, Action/Adventure, Strategy, and those types of games are what I play and Sony is basically the main market for all of those which arent on all 3 systems.
I love the people who go, Im still not buying it! No ones trying to make you want to buy it here gawd.

Man... Some of you posting in this thread are so ignorant it astounds me. Go buy the PS3 for your outrageous price as they lose all the exclsives to Xbox 360 and the Wii. And for the people saying the PS3 controller has the same functionality as the Wii's - its not even close. Maybe you should actually read up on the two differen't controllers before commenting and making yourself look like a dumbass, eh?
The whole thing about the gun is cool, but there isnt really any good games nintendo has brought out that involve shooting.
i think the new nintendo's controller is quite a good innovation. it will need some time to get used to but im digging it
