Wifi And Wlan

    I wanna buy a notebook, but i've encounterd a problem, i see different notebooks, some with WLAN and others with WiFi.

    I got 2 questions:
    Can some1 tell me what the diference is

    and

    for example: Can I use WLAN if the notebook only got WiFi??

    WiFi - Some kinda wireless signal.
    WLan - Wireless local area network, basically a wireless internet connection, where theres a WLAN, theres Wifi signal being sent out...
