Perhaps younger people are more intrigued by these things? I'm a 'lil kiddie, I'm only thirteen. However, I don't think that matters, on most MMORPG's I get mistaken for a twenty year old. Not to boast, of course. But does it really matter? I'm sure teens are as interesting as upper-twenty year olds.

I think it depends on how you act. If you act like a 20 year old, then you should be treated like one. Even if you are 15. Same goes if you are like 22 and you act like you are 13. I think that I act older than I am, based on how I type, and how I act around other people. Also, if I don't know how to do something, I try to find out by myself, without making myself look like a childish noob.

I'm 17 years old, and I'd consider myself quite mature. I don't think it really matters how old we are, the thing is, we all have this interest in graphics and games. Surely it's a good thing that there are a variety of people that share this similarity?
I have quite a bit to learn about graphics, so its good to see some older people with experience on this site to learn from.

What on earth, do you think this is, dude? I am only 13, and almost everyone here on these Forums are Teenagers. Did you expect us to be 30 Years old, or something? This place is for those who probaly want to learn about Graphics and stuff. Not just an Adult Forum, where Adult people come. Everyone is allowed, I think. The Admins and Mods are probaly also 20´s or 30´, and they made this Site for everyone, who probaly wants to learn about Graphics. Then why are you complaining about people "Not"- being over 18 years old? We cant help it...

Oops... My mouth couldnt shut up, lol ^_^ I mean--- My hands couldnt sit still. :)

Show me where I am complaining about people not being over 18 years old. Good luck in your endeavors just the same my friend, and don't be suprised when you are not able to provide proof of such.

Why yes, it would appear to be that way, wouldn't it? I think people are mistaking my initial post for a personal attack on their youth, which I am not. I was merely pointing out the fact that it would seem that many of the members here, I would say over 70 percent, probably closer to 80, are of the 18 and younger crowd.

Is that bad? Nope. Is it wrong? No, on the contrary in fact! I find it absolutely astounding to be honest that so many people in this day and age are becoming more empowered at such a young age through the use of computers.

Yeah, I was your age once, and hell no, I never had internet, computers or whatnot. Am I complaining about that fact? Nope! I may be older but that doesn't mean I can't learn, which is why I am here in the first place.

Simply put, age and how you live is relative: I know many people that do things, that to others, seem like they are 'too old' or 'too young' for. Like the 54 year old skateboarder I know. Or the 14 year old crash derby specialist I met at a race track once.

Anyway, I'm not criticizing or demeaning the teens on this site or any other. I am just pointing out the fact that as our technology age wears on, the users of that technology become younger and more empowered with it; better able to handle tomorrow's problems with far greater success and speed than the generation before it.

And it if has to start with those young people (teens) coming to a GFX website to begin travelling down that road, then they are well suited for what the rest of their life has in store for them and what they want to make of it.

I am 30. And whats wrong with us older members browsing forums? I tend to use my older experience to help others with issues they may be having in life or what not. I have a life outside of GR, I have a good job and I am also married. Just because someone visits forums and are older than most doesnt mean they dont have lives outside of the net or have no friends.

I mainly came to GR to learn more about PS and to get renders ( yes I came for the renders), but I stayed around and have been learning someting new everyday. I come here to help where I can and to learn from people that know more about certain things than I do.Its a community of people from around the world that have different knowledge about all aspects of life, and we can all help each other with our experiences.

I now know alot more abut IPB than I did 3 months ago, I am still a Noob compared to BFTP and Mayur, but talent comes with experience. I also now own a few domains and even just recently took over another hosting company from another GR member. Vital-host. I tend to help others get some affordable hosting to help them with their dreams of putting together a fourm of their own, as well as learn more about offering hosting to people and may even branch out and make it a more lucrative business venture, who knows.

Anyways, just my "old fart' opinion.

Uhmmm.... I'm an old fart too. Just depends on who you talk to I guess.

I know a few members that are above 18. Me, I'm 23... so, we're not all youngsters. ;)

I'm two years younger and I can drink legally

...in the next province over, but still. age is 19 here.

Most places on the internet have people aged like 13-19, and the older people create a nice balance. I just hate the 15 year old who figure they should be considered older because they figure they're more mature. When they aren't.

We had this discussion at another forum when the admin was recruiting moderators and he restricted it to over 16 years old... Some people didn't understand that for some reason.
