Knowledge of the owner hardly tells whether the guy is able and ready to run a site like GR. Shaggy runs the site from behind a curtain, and occasionally pops his head out. To a guy that could possibly have ghosted this site for a few weeks, Dementia would appear to be the owner to anyone that didn't look hard and you hardly look for an owner before you are interested in buying the site. He may or may not care how or why Shaggy runs this site, and may even care about it more than Shaggy, so your presumptions are unfounded.

What would be relevant, is whether or not this guy actually cares about the site and it's people. Or would he just like it to feed his greed?

Another relevant question: How much money would it take for Shaggy to sell the site?

No, you also pay me $500 a month to troll.

And neuron, and zero, and dementia (again), and dior, and jcoca, and majin, and steez.

    And then me again.

And I will also need your SSN, bank statements, and credit card numbers.

Let me put this in Shaggster's Words. Two months ago I asked him if I could buy GR. His reply:

"NO ------ING NO. Not selling that site even if Devil asks himself"

Honestly, I don't see a point in selling GR to anyone. As far as I know Shaggy has put so much into the site, selling it would be like giving your life earnings away (not saying he put his life earnings in here but yeah).

But the part that kills me is that you don't even know the Owner and you are trying to buy the site.

What Dem said on the last page is true, if you take all the figures that Shaggy pays on GR, you can sum up to a nice round figure around $5,000 or $3,500 somewhere there or less if he gets some discounts on the dedicated server, but yeah. I used to have one one year ago and I was able to make 3k easily per month by hosting start up companies around my area.

    So yeah..

Also if I may add ... This thread is a FAIL!

    The End.

word , dementia sends me 400 for midget porn monthly on a secret forum.

But serious talking. No way in hell he would sell his website. I'm sure just because he isn't here doesn't mean he doesn't care. He must be a busy person unlike all of us here spamming.

A little more then that, yea ;)

Damn another reply...What does that mean? If I didn't care, this site would not be here right now.

If you want some 'good' weed, come out to El Mirage / Surprise. We have a bunch of dealers from Cali.

He obviously doesn't know shit about GR and he wants to own it?
    I say it's relevant alright.

Relevent to you, me and to people who give a damn about the site. Irrelivent to anyone who is looking for a business to buy out.

    Except it's true.

Shaggy cares more for this site than most here seem to realize. He has been forking out money from his paycheck just to support GR, THEN he decided to add cash prizes, in addition when something breaks he's the first one to order hardware upgrades, which not only is an initial install cost, but also an increased monthly charge. He is the one who generates the most staff conversations on MSN where we sit down for a couple of hours together and troubleshoot the issues with GR.

Regarding the cost... Shaggy doesn't have a specific amount, I am pretty sure. You would have to give examples of what you plan to do to the site, he would have to agree with you, and it would have to be put down in a statement so you aren't just jerking him around, and then you would likely have to pay more than he did for the site, which is an undisclosed amount in the 5-digit range.

Shaggy may nto be an active contributor to the member public forums, but he is, once again, a very busy man. To the staff he is one of the more active individuals. He doesn't do a lot of things when it comes to the moderation of the site. Why? Because we all have it under control. What he does do is what he must to keep the site alive, even if it involves staying up all night brainstorming and then putting it into action or boosting the money he spends out of pocket to keep the site open.

He is very attached to the site and wouldn't sell to someoen who wouldn't have the site in its best interest.

Yes, that is true, I do not post much in the main forum, I post alot in the staff section though. Yes from a newbie point of view, you would think Dem, Logic or Draven would own this site as they do post alot here. This doesn't I don't care about the site or the users on it. You guys make the site what it is, so I have to care about ya ;)
