    ... Wow...that first quote is just...wow....

God brought life into the world. God gave breath to the world. God created it all. Satan came down and brought death and disease. My, what a guy, that Satan fella. Giving us all that nice death and disease, he sure is someone who has helped us all out. -_-

That post is so ludicrous, so idiotic, so bad (not in a "lol ur against god" kinda way, just bad in general) that it's almost impossible to respond to. God is good. Those two things are synonymous. Satan rebelled against what was righteous and good because he was like a petulant child who didn't want to follow rules. Anybody who would side with Satan is the same. Has this guy even read the Old Testament aside from a few stories? Why not take the time to read through the ENTIRE Old Testament and New Testament alike.

I swear that was so ignorant I think he could be in an atheistic version of the Westboro Church.

    Next quote:

God's alleged "killings" in the Old Testament has absolutely no relevance concerning death in the New Testament. Satan did not in any way have to ask God's permission, but God could have stopped him in any time.

God gave man free will. He said, "Go right ahead, do what you want. But this is what I want you to do - love me, honor me." In doing so God promised them ETERNAL LIFE in a place of ultimate happiness, all in exchange for the person accepting God's terms.

Let's get it straight: Satan is the ultimate evil, and the father of all deceit. He hates God, and in hating God hates his creation. That is why he went down to tempt Adam and Eve - he wanted to destroy anything that God loved, and God loves Man, and all he wants is to be loved in return. But no - man loves himself, exactly the way Satan wants them to.

People tend to look at death as the end. The people who God "Killed" in the Old Testament - death was NOT the end for them, as judgment had not yet come, nor had the Savior. Where they went, no one knows, but it was certainly not Hell.

Let's look at John 3:16, what is God's will for man, and what he wants:
"For God so loved the World, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but would have everlasting life." God wants man to live forever in happiness.

But Satan seeks to destroy that, boy, what a guy that Satan fellow is.

It is so simple to follow, why can't any of you guys get it?

Satan deceives man into thinking that this earthly life is all there is. He then deceives them into thinking: "Yeah so I should have the best time I can while I'm here, do whatever I want, whatever makes me happy or feel good. Because that's all. After that it's blackness."

So what does Satan deliver them?

A wonderful, wonderful life, followed immediately by eternal suffering, and by defeating man, that which God loves (enough to send his own SON to die for, in fact), Satan feels that he's defeated God.

Lovely man, that Satan. He's such a great guy, no?

I love how this is making me seem like an overly religious individual when I'm not all that religious after all. Watch, there will be plenty of flaming calling me overly religious, or a stupid Christian. I can't wait for it!

It's also hilarious to think that I have pwned everyone in GR so badly, you had to go to digg.com to dig up some other fools (one being almost as ignorant as the Westboro church) for me to pwn. Nice.

I just want people to research this stuff more thoroughly before saying "Oh I'm Atheist" or "Oh, I'm Christian" or "Oh, I'm Islamic" or whatever! Think, research, THEN speak.

This poll is utter bullcrap, what people are saying is even MORE bullcrap, so much bullcrap spurring left and right and I have to go clean it up... <_<

No one cares how many people a fictional character killed in a fictional book. If I posted a graph of how many people Harry Potter killed, would it matter?

Haha, the first one was just a joke.

God does not want to destroy Satan therefore he supports evil, no? I guess he just want to test us. Apparently, those children or babies in Africa with fullblown AIDS are also being tested.

I am religious, i believe in God and I detest satan. But I also believe people will have opinions. We can't change that. And even if I post a long reply here talking about why you're all wrong, it won't change a damn thing. This thread is going nowhere except to end up causing fights.

MindFrame, this is what causes the fights, not a long post trying to show people something. When people completely insist that this or that is fact or fiction, then people with react to it, thus sparking fights up. The person really has no reason to say if it's fact or fiction, but they completely insist on it, like an idiot.

I'm not trying to change people, but rather help them understand a bit more. I WANT them to believe what they want to believe. For Christ's sake, Christian or not, respect other people's beliefs above all.

And Trax, I'll deal with you tomorrow morning, okay? It's 11:05 here, my back hurts, and I'm tired. Give me a day and I'll get you all the info you need. ;)

People just don't understand the FACTS the Bible says. No, not facts like "God did this", I mean facts like "The Bible means [insert words] for [insert words]". That's why I posted what I did. They think God is evil when the Bible shows anything BUT him being evil to his people.

Trax I'll explain to you why he doesn't support evil tomorrow, okay? Give it about 10-12 hours. Heheh.

Ah, damn! We have steered off to the bad side. I only wanted this thread to show people the funny side of bible not to demote it and burn the thread.

Read through the thread before making an idiotic post next time. ;) And I'm procrastinating right now, want a rest for the weekend, if I get unlazy I'll answer you Trax tomorrow. If I stay unlazy, expect a fully detailed answer on Monday. I've typed enough, don't you think?

I've just read through this entire thread and I don't even really know what to say. That poll is moronic. The people that God killed were by no means "good" people. The world back then was by far more sinful than it is today, to the point where God decided that things would be better off if all of the civilizations were destroyed.

And bluefalcon, great job on your answers. you have some of the most thoughtout post's on this thread.

Funny to see the graph in the first post. And funny to see how the comments change into a debate on wether or not god is a good/better person compared to satan. Who cares actually.

People believe what they believe, and i don't think a book, graphs or shouting is gonna change that. Respect each other for believing. I'm atheïst, why? because i believe many religions speak ill of non-believers. I hate it when people tell me what i can or can't do, and for me, that's what a religion is all about, tell people what they can and can't do. That is one of the many reasons why i chose not to believe. I think it's time for the religions to respect non-believers, and stop caring so much about it. You don't have to "resque" them from "hell" and eternal torture, because they also made their choice, just like you did.

My version of the god/satan story:
    - Satan was invented to scare people off, and make sure everyone stayed quiet and followed the rules made by the leaders of the civilization.
    - God/jesus were invented as support. If things went bad, you could allways turn to god/jesus. I see it as a person to tell your story to if no-one else would listen. He also made people believe in miracles to give them hope.
    - Miracles/the hand of god is an excuse for unexplainable things untill science took over.

Why i believe it is all a story?
    - not all religions originated from the same time and not all religions tell the same story. So it's hard for me to believe that one person did everything.

A second possibility could be Extraterrestrial Life or maybe the future Human lifeform. A being evolved to a point where it could do more than our brain could grasp. If that's the case, all relegions would be somewhat say the same as above, only difference is that i call it an "evolved lifeform" from flesh and blood, instead of a spirit.

Thats about all i wanted to say about this.
Before people start saying "no that's not true, you are wrong", please cease the effort. I'm just sharing my vision with you people, i'm not intending to convince anyone, nor am i saying that others are wrong. So be wise and do the same, respect someones opinion about religion even if he/she doesn't have one.
