Awkward pot really, but yes; buy a Ps3. Not only can you watch BluRay on it, you can also play games or use it as a mediaserver and stuff.

    1. Go to a local store
    2. Buy the fucking blu-ray player there

If you buy someone a Blu-ray player, and then expect that someone to send it to you just because humans are such trustworthy beings, you're definitely playing with fire.

Oh don't be so cynical. People on the internet are totally trustworthy. I mean, I've always had a good experience giving my money to people who live thousands of miles away expecting to get what I want......

You're honestly fine doing that on a good amount of websites where the average age isn't 12.

You had some good experience -- congratulations!
I am not saying it'll be a guaranteed scam but he would be, as I said, "playing with fire". It all works out well occasionally, but sometimes you'll burn yourself.

And I can't really figure out whether you're just stupid or naive (I'll just go for both) when you make the statement that people on the internet are totally trustworthy. The people who are on the internet are the very same people who walk around in 'real life'.
Scams happen on a daily basis, this is a fact. Scamming people online is about 10 times easier, not to mention safer for the one doing the scam. I, for example, live on the other side of the world. Even if he would contact the authorities, they wouldn't even begin to look into it.

    Opportunity makes the thief.

You need to open your eyes and realize that not everyone is as trustworthy as you might be.
Your parents must have failed to tell you that you shouldn't take candy from strangers.

What this guys does, is he asks total strangers on a forum that is not related to this kind of business whatsoever.

All of this should should just be common sense really.
