So my friend is here and he has so many viruses/trojeans/worms etc. etc. We're not even going to bother trying to delete them.

So doesn't anyone know how to, without burning another Windows Cd, completely default it. Getting rid of everything on the hardrive that he added?

Buy it or download it. I suggest buying it, downloaded copies are usually messed up.

you could possibly do a system restore, go back to the date when you installed windows. although some viruses linger in the system rerstore, so you wont get rid of every virus.

to get rid of the viruses, did you try Avast's boot time scan, which is like scanning in safe mode? that gets rid of most viruses that begin on start up.

Lol we've tried Norton Anti-Virus... =) The moment we installed it the worms and stuff started infecting it.

We ran it and it spent almost five hours deleting malicious things but the hardrive was still full of viruses. Meh, I'll talk him into paying for it
