http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...No=3285759& or http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/se...No=2842055& Please no fanboys im leaning towards ati because ddr4 1 gb memory isntead of ddr3 768mb, better core clock and so on...
The drivers for 2900 are ----, even with the specs higher clocked it still runs slower than the gtx. At some certain games its faster, but once you turn up the AA the card will die compared to 8800's. I'd get a GTX, the memory on the 2900 maybe makes it around few fps faster but not very much. I'd get the GTX but get one from evga or xfx if you plan to remove the stock cooling without the warrenty voided. Also dont spend extra money for a oc'd card that you can do your self easily.
The 8800 GT is faster than the 8800 GTS, but not as fast as the GTX, a few frames behind [3-10 fps]. Overall its good for the money, but I'd personally wait for the updated 8800 gts which is going to be faster than the 8800 GT. Heres a link for the updated 8800 gts which is soon to come out. http://xfxforce.com/web/product/listConfig...oductId=1558717
8800GT without a doubt. those overclock PAST the 8800 ultras. they also cost half as much. get an EVGA 8800GT then a thermalright HR-03 ultra overclock the sucker. All under warranty... FYI, right now there are exactly 0 games which utilize past 450ish or so mb of vRAM. the only use for a "1gb" card is for 3d rendering and that isn't exactly something you'd want to do with a gaming card since they have a lot of rendering capabilities disabled in the hardware as compared ot their quadro and FireGl brethren. by the time it does matter more you can buy a new card for the price difference and be ahead in the end. might be a little while though http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....amp;x=0&y=0 they're selling as fast as they get them like EVERYWHERE. Right now they are THE card to get. MSRP is $200 I beleive and they're going for 300
