If your really not that bothered about music etc, then I would buy the normal pack. The 32 MB memory card can store a heck of a lot of saves, and buy saving $50 Im presuming you could put that towards a new game (dont know the prices of games in $, im english). So yeah, I would by the normal pack if I were you. About the battery life, if you just use it for videos it can do 2hrs, music it can do 8hrs, and for just gameplay, 4hrs. I dont know if you jumble them all together though. You can buy batteries with double the battery life though. Hope this helps
If your looking to save monny dont go with giga-pack because it costs like $350, Id rather by an xbox 360 than a psp giga-pack. But a value pack with the car charger and a game is a good deal.
