Counter Strike Source, Half Life 2 (a fav), Call of Duty United Offensive (a fav), the Battle Field series, Medal of Honor (outdated but no doubt good), Rainbow 6 3 (a fav, great squad based game, deals with SWAT). Those are mostly my favorite games of all time for FPS's.

Strategy: tie all time fav strategy games StarCraft (and Brood War) - Warcraft 3 (and Frozen Throune)
