Take it from someone who has an eMachines. They suck! The first time I booted mien up it crashed. Had nothing but problems I've had to fix ever since.

I've heard that a sound card actauly takes a load off your cpu expecialy when playing games. Go with a sound card.

sword master.... just because u have problems with ur emachines dont mean they suck. i reccommended them to my whole family and everyone runs perfectly, i myself have 2 and my best friend has 2 and my other relatives all have about 5-6 emachiens and i have a ton of relatives lol. u probably got a lower class emachines tbh.

oh and btw im overclokcing my gfx card as we speak and its almost running as good as the X700 pro, i have like 3 test programs up right now and i know what im doing ive been readin about this all week lol. i went from 3227-3400 in the 3DMark03 gaming test. the X700 pro is usually between 3500-3700 stock

I was gonna say you can try unlocking more pipelines but Idk if its possible for your card. Plus, that doesnt always work and can cause artifacts in games..
