Its not the fault of the motherboard. It is a fault with the amd memory controller. http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=70687 your current cpu will be affected, but if you upgrade it to a newer cpu it will work.
what about the 64 X2??? what i will do is get the x2 1GBs sitcks because i know what to do with my current 1 gb... i have another com[uter at my dads house with 512 mb and when i move to florida i use that when i visit him.. so their you go lol. ill get some corsair value ram.
nah grab ocz or g.skill value ram instead. corsair aint too great especially if you ever decide to overclock.
well with the oc guru that comes with my mobo i think i will be overclocking ram lol so ill get what u said. can i get DDR500? even thought it says standard DDR400 because ive never seen a mobo that has DDR500 or above standard
yup ddr500 will be a good choice. Its not supported by stock it just means as you bump up your htt your ram wont hit the barrier as quickly, it means you wont have to use dividers. Merged Post: Get this ram, its cheap best value atm. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231021
yep, have you bought that board yet though? Because I would strongly recommend DFI for overclocking, so would every other overclocker.
Dfi is a bit more oc enthuasiast really, but if you want my advice, im right now playong far cry on a 6200gt and a 2400 oc'ed to 2.4.
there is no such thing as a 6200gt. you mean 6200? if you are I would seriously look into investing in a 6600 vanilia at least because the 6200 runs of system ram.
Well, i call it a gt because i got the core to 375, with the aid of a fan, but anyway, it plays games fine, and i cant afford anything else, i'm on 10 quid a week EDIT: no sorry, iv'e got the NV44 model, 256mb ddr2 or ddr, it's made by XfX EDITED EDIT:http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=100894
well i like ABIT's it comes with some nasty software, plus the board is very stable and runs cool. it also comes with another sound card and the uguru is a must. well ill keep looking into it becuase i decided not to get the motherboard this week, im getting the ram this week and then the motherboard for my birthday in august.
an MSI RS480M2, it came stock with my emachines T6412, its actually one of the best micro ATX boards because it has 4 slots for ram and it supports dual chanell, 939 socket, 4 SATA slots, 3 pci, 1 pci-e X16. overall it works well but the bios blows, u cant overclock or do anything.
i already said... im not upgrading gfx card lol, just read the begining page. um i already have a dvd/cd burner but im gonna eventually buy a NEC because the one i have is from an emachines, it dont match my case at all, and it is like done chapped in the front so it sticks out like crap. what im gonna upgared is my RAM to 2 gbs of G-SKILL
