Well I have sort of a wireless issue at the moment.I have 2 computers and an xbox 360 that need internet connection mainly through a wireless connection. In one room I have my 360 and a computer and in a room about 15 feet away I have another computer.I have a cheap wireless dell router that is not xbox live compatable and so if I wish to play xbox live I need to cut off the internet from my 2 computers.Could anyone suggest a good stable router that will be able to support atleast 1 computer and and xbox over a wireless/wired connection. I would prefer to have my 360 to be wireless as I have the adapter allready but wired will be fine aswell. Some routers people have suggested - D-Link DGL-4300 - WRT54G aswell as the dual band - WGT624 Help?
Can a get a model or any sort of name? Also I basicly have no idea what im doing with wireless routers so what do I need for my computers to be wireless aswell? Right now I have an adapter that came with my dell router that uses one of the USB spots on the back of my computer...
Read this: http://forum.teamxbox.com/archive/index.php/t-133908.html These LINKSYS routers are support XBOX 360: BEFSR11 BEFSR41 BEFSR41 v 2 BEFSR81 BEFSW11S4 NR041 There's also a list of the other routers that are compatible on the bottom of the website of the link above. http://www.broadband-for-xbox.co.uk/routers.htm Merged Post: Did you want a Wireless PCI card or did you just wanted to get a Wireless USB connection to run the wireless around your house?
The posts in the first link were posts a few years ago? And the compatable router list can be found here, http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connectt...ngequipment.htm I just have not idea if any of those are very stable and so far the only one that i've seen with a good review is the D-Link DGL-4300
Basically you can see the theme here. Just buy any high end LINKSYS router try it out for the first 30 days, if you don't like it or if it doesn't work, then just return it. You'll never go wrong with a LINKSYS router. Especially that CISCO backs them up.
