Well, what does a tag have to be PRO?

I do have a theory: A tag is pro when you don't use tuts or anything to make it, just your own imagination and style, it must have a good bg, a flow, a render, blending, a lightning source and a good typo.

    IT MUST BE UNWHORED!

So you heard my theory so it's time to hear yours!

    So tell me your oppinions!

Foremost, the sig has to have PURPOSE. The artist has to have thought through what they are going to put in their sig and what to leave out before even touching PS (or whatever program their decide to use). There are tons of sigs that, sure, they look nice, but NO, they are not pro because they are just a bunch of ideas thrown together at the time of creation.

Oh, skill has a little to do with it, i guess.. ;)

I think it's more based on the skill of the maker of the signature. If your a skilled sig maker, most people are like "ZOMG PRO TAG." Well, just my opinion.

yea i really dont believe in pro, semi-pro and all that jazz if ur good ur good if ur bad and just starting out u have nowhere to go but up, i mean in a sense its like segragation, thats one of the main reasons i left nsl, but 90% of tags and the way they look and how people like then is opinion. And if people tend to make a style or "trend" out of it so be it let is fly have fun is all i have to say... sorry if i rambled on and didnt make any sense afterwards when im on a rant i tend to do that

I think it's about creativity, uniqueness and originality. A c4d sig may look nice, but they are overall very generic and everyone knows how to do one. I think there are a type of sigs I like to think as ugly pro sigs. They may look a bit weird but the second you see it, you know you'll never be able to come close to making a sig like that.

lol no I've seen some bad ones by some good people.

I think of it as if I like it, thats what I consider "pro"
like I think most of /\treu's work is "pro" same goes for Rogue but that is because I like their work and style.
In a nutshell it all depends on what you like.

It's harder to tell if a sig IS pro rather then telling if a sig ISN'T pro.

    good point ^_^

on the other hand there isn't a "standard" definition of pro sigs/tags. It depend on various things which were stated in previous posts. Anyway it mostly depend on you
