I just started using adobe and have made some pretty cool sigs.. I always look for swat guys, kinda counter strike, look. My brother said renders look much better than photos. How do you make a render? What is the process of converting a photo to a render? etc.. Any light would help.. Thanks.

NO MAV, NO. That is NOT how to render. JPG's are not the way to go at all.

Renders are basically images with the background removed. They're good for sigs because there is no unwanted bits added.

For a tut on the RIGHT way to render images, go here:

So a render can be a photo, picture, art, tractor, etc..
Is there special tools you guys use to make a photo more... fitting with brushes, effect, backgrounds, etc..

Or how can you blend photos in better to bacgrounds etc.. I have just started using color balance which seems to help.. keeping them from standing out..

Wow.. the pen tool rocks.. the only thing I cannot figure out is when I was drawing my out line there were parts of my image turning white after a while as I went around small curves.. Is there something I forgot to turn off?

Like right now after using the pen to erase the background and out line the guy.. I try to drag him over to the other canvas which will be my sig.. I try to use the lasso to snap to the outside to highlight him so I can deselect any white..transfering him over clean and I cant figure that out..
