When it comes to music what's more important to you? The beat or the lyrics? IMO it's gotta be a pretty good balance but the lyrics mean a lot more to me. I like to write and I want something that actually has meaning behind it.

    Like Led Zeppelin

"All I ask for when I pray,
Steady rollin woman gonna come my way.
Need a woman gonna hold my hand
And tell me no lies, make me a happy man."

Sums up the happiness goal for almost every man/lesbian out there ;)

To me its really the beat. Some New Found Glory songs really grasp my attention because of the lyrics, but i generally love my music for the beats. There is one song by T-Pain named ' I'm in love with a stripper'. dont care much for the sing, persae, but i love the beat. That is the same with a few Eminem songs like Say Goodbye to Hollywood.

As for Blink-182, i love everything about their works. I like a few My Chemical Romance. I like one Coldplay song named 'Clocks'. I like 'Breaking the Habit' by Linkin Park (sometimes i like Numb.) I really prefer songs that DONT yell, that is why Korn never appealed to me.

    both.

some songs I like because I love the sound of them and are good for relaxing/dancing/rockin out to. Some songs I like because I connect to them lyrically. I'd say most people are the same.

It depends. Some songs, beat is more important. Some songs, lyrics are more important. Mostly beat though.

Yea, if you have a stupid beat ten what the person usually says, even if it is good, means the song sucks. The beat is the back up, try playing a song with no beats and just the person sining, most of the emotion through it is gone. :/
