    What I shall have in a few months(I have a job now)
    AMD athlon 64 3000+
    2gigs DDR400 dual channel ram
    Nvidea 9800 w/ unlocked pipes
    same HDDs
    same OSes

    I hope my upgrade should last em for gaming for about 2 years, then I plan to upgrade to a dual core(maybe even quad, its to be out by '07) proc with 2 7800s or better

    well ill tell you this.... its very slow lol, it really wont run 3dsmax and photoshop CS2 starts slowing down after a while

    You cannot unlock pipes on a 7800GT.

    GFX CARD: nividia 6800
    MONITOR: i got a samsung 17 inch flat panel lcd screen with a 8ms screen reaction time.
