What Is This?

ok, so i opened a tag up in photoshop (.png format) and then it looks like this. I didn't go to edit>trandform>scale or anything like that. This is also happening with text. How can i fix this?

 

You mean to take away the grey background thing? if so i had that problem me mate fixed mine...

 

no, i mean how that dotted box is around the sig.

 

Try control + D to deselect it, i think its just a box round it hope this helpes.

 

Is it index colored? if so, change the mode.

I know it's a pain but if nothing works then uninstall and reinstall

Thats easy..

With your little tool selected.. I don't remember what its called, but it is the tool you use to move images around and stuff, It is in the top right corner of your little tool box, you select it..

Then, once its selected, on the bar at the top (where like.. your text options and stuff are shown if you have the text tool selected, for example) there is a check box. To turn off your problem, uncheck the box that says "Show Transform Controls" or something of that sort. It should work.
