EVGA GeForce 7600 GS / 512MB GDDR2 / SLI / PCI Express / DVI / VGA / HDTV / Video Card - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...&Tab=0&NoMapp=0 EVGA GeForce 7600 GT KO / 256MB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/Sea...&Tab=0&NoMapp=0 The 512mb one is cheaper than the 256mb one, but the 256mb one is "GDDR3" instead of "GDDR2" like the 512 one, and the 256 is GT KO, but the 512 is GS. Anybody know what the performance difference is? Which one would I benefit more from?
Get this one - EVGA GeForce 7600 GT KO Its got better ram. That also appears to have a newer core by looking at the model number. The only improvement the GS has is both memory and core clocks are 50mhz higher, but it is possible for you to overclock to make up that difference.
Okay. I was planning on getting the GT KO, but I was just browsing TigerDirect and noticed that there was another one.
id get the 7600GT GT Chipset Chipset Manufacturer NVIDIA GPU Geforce 7600GT Core clock 580MHz PixelPipelines 12 Memory Clock 1500MHz Memory Size 256MB Memory Interface 128-bit Memory Type GDDR3 GS Chipset Chipset Manufacturer NVIDIA GPU Geforce 7600GS Core clock 400MHz PixelPipelines 12 Memory Memory Clock 800MHz Memory Size 512MB Memory Interface 128-bit Memory Type GDDR2 those are the main differences, and the GT kicks its ass in speed, its just got less memory size which isnt that big of a problem i like to read what the customers have to say about the product after having it, thats why new egg is good, and neither one have anything wrong with them, but the only thing talked about on the GS is about how they got their damn mail in rebate, and the only con about the GT was that it didnt have a blue light on the fan lol and one guy said this about the GT I overclocked this baby to 580/1800 and it runs smooth which is crazy good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130017 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814130021 see 30$ less on newegg, and it compares them better
