"In your opinion what is the one song that stands out in heavy metal/ death metal. in other words, this song would be considered the national anthem of heavy metal .." I seen this posted on another site and had to post it here to get some sort of discussion going on it. Personaly I enjoy all types of music, even rap and reggaeand even some country  ..but, out of all the heavy metal/ death metal groups out there I would have to go with Slayer and Angel of Death. Just trying to get some feed back is all. Thoughts..? B)
Living in the Sunlight/Loving in the moonlight - Tiny Tim he's not really Death Metal. More like happy Metal
Not a big fan of Heavy Metal, myself, but I do like Throwdown...so I guess that would be my answer.. Just about anything by Throwdown...ooooo OR Pantera...
Big fan of metal and preferably the folk/viking power melodic and heavy genres and if i would choose an anthem than it would be Die for metal by Manowar
nah if your going with Iron Maiden the best song to represent metal is The Trooper or Fear of the Dark both really the best they ever did
I'm not certain on any specific song but if you were to pick one it would probably be from either Pantera or Iron Maiden.
Hmmmmmm..... there are way too many possibilities in my opinion that COULD become the ONE SONG. Something by In Flames would have to represent Melodic Metal. Like 'Man Made God'. But in overall metal, I honestly think right now - as of this moment, it would be "Clenching The Fists of Dissent" by Machine Head. or Halo.... still not sure.
