Yesterday when I had a MSN conversation with a person, that person said "LOL TAGS ISNT ART U R FAIL!" Well, what I tried to explain was, that tags IS art. It is. Maybe it's not the big type of art, but it still is an art piece. It's a unique thing that yourself made. Tags are just as much art as Large Pieces, because art can be placed in so many different categories. Music, woodcarving, painting, whatever you can think of, is art in some sort. Discuss, wether you think tags is art or not.
hmm yeah, i think there are so many types of art, as you said dior (music, literature etc). I think tags are art too because you are creating it by your own hand, own ideas etc.
depends i mean if you create the tag / sigs with ALL your own work then sure you can call it art but when you think about it people use Stocks Renders other peoples c4ds other peoples brushes etc etc etc so if you are using other peoples things you techincally are not creating art you are using someone elses work to creat your own piece which is in theory not yours on the other hand if you create your own c4ds draw your own renders / characters then you ARE creating your own art see what im saying here
IMO, Art is a way of expressing yourself freely, you can do what you want without other people caring, Art to be honest, is your work, inspired by you, created by you. Gus
I believe that anything someone creates no matter what it is can be considered art its not a definitive thing in my mind
Tags are art, You make it yourself with your own idea's and creativity. It's just less if u use Stocks/C4Ds or Brushes you did not make cause it's not of your own. But in matter of fact you are combining pieces together and make something of your own with it. Even it's small, actually size doesn't even matter. Tags are art, why wouldn't it be art?
everything is art, if you use someone elses work its still art. art is diffrent in everyones eyes. art is expressing yourself and how ever you do it its art, maybe not to some people but to you it is and thats all that matters.
Nah, don't consider tags art at all. I consider them graphics, with a tag you cant just throw yourself at it with a paint brush and paint wildly like your emotions, or whatever state of mind your in. All tags are made to be visually appealing, same with most LPs. Only Digital Art I consider real art is paintings, done with a wacom etc. and, some of the top quality 3D work, also done with tablets.
Can the same not be applied to, say, a person who draws a portrait of another person? How about a painter? I'll say that 95% of painters don't make their own materials. I see a stock/render/c4d as if they are to be used in the same way a portrait artist would use a person's image to create his art. Tags, sigs, LPs, and whatever else created in Photoshop or even Microsoft Paint are art. They're forms of expression, just as if I were to play my guitar or go draw something.
