Like the other person said, it's not about loyalty. They're different programs intended for different purposes. It's like saying "woah...Excel sounds cool, but I will stay loyal to Word." I don't know anything about AE, but it's basically a video editing program. If you visit professional 3d animation/modeling forums you'll notice that a lot of those people use AfterEffects for fine-tuning their animations.
