*snickers* All religion uses the threat of Hell to scare people into believing. Try convincing an adult to change their religion without the mention of Hell, Satan, devil, demons, etc. and you will see it is quite impossible.

The problem with Satan is that why let him roam free in our world to spread evil and destruction? God obviously know Satan is doing all those things and does nothing to stop him. Is God evil or powerless?

Hello *waves* I changed my religion at the age of 17. You may not feel that is adult, but I know of two 25 year olds and one 40-something year old who also changed their religion in the last two years, and none of it was due to Satan. We may think of Satan, but it plays a very small part in our religion. (no satanist jokes )

As for the latter again we come to free will and the fact that God cannot enter this world fully. Tbh I cannot fully answer your question; I don't have the knowledge myself, maybe others here can (I see ferret reading :P) but what I can say is that God has a reason, and it is the right one, I will not doubt that ;)

I would have thought my post made it clear, but Christianity ;) If you ask what from, atheism. STRICT atheism too, not agnosticism. ;)

i would never do that. i was raised Buddhist but changed to atheist because i just can't understand how people think that one being (or many depending on your religion) created everything. and thats another thing. if god or w/e did exist, you'd think there'd only be one religion cause it'd kill off anything that's wrong..

It's human nature to disagree, and most humans prefer to feel they are in control of their lives, especially today; no one to answer to, no repercussions for their actions, nothing tieing (sp?) them down. Both these things sit badly with faith, especially if the faith is forced from childhood as so many are around the world.

    Religion is for the week.

Religion was made to lead someones life in a given direction. Because some people cant seem to do so themselves.

And for those of you who keep saying theres no proof to evolution. Im asking you, please stfu. There is evidence, your just mad and in denial because not only do we got evidence, but a good popularity of the world is on our side.

Who knows, maybe since a lot of people arent religious nowadays people thinks its cool to have a religion. Such as, guys at my school think its cool to wear pink, because no one else really does. Maybe same thing goes for religion, its cool to believe in god because not a whole lot of people do.

First off, your grammar sucks and you have the sentence structures of an eight year old. You really should work on it and I pray that you don't fail out of English. May Allah be with you.

Secondly, damn straight pink is cool.

Finally, read your last two sentences again and rethink everything you know about humanity. There are more religious people than you think although they may not be as expressive as Fargo is.

No, but he can have one *hands register a good grammar prize*

And pheymus please back up your statements with actual fact. If you have so much evidence for evolution can I see it?

As for the majority of the world believing evolution you're sadly wrong. The majority of the world have probably never heard of it, and apart from Western countries most are still heavily religious and disagree with evolution.

As for being religious just to be cool, you have to be kidding me right? I am one of three people in my entire year who is not atheist, and one of these is agnostic. The amount of stick myself and the other Christians in our school get for our beliefs is incredible, but then prejudice is what most people with faith have to come up against at some point. I mean we're not bullied or anything, but when you're sitting in Biology class and having to argue with everyone else, including the teacher, that gills never form on the foetus you do feel like giving in. No one would ever bother to keep up a faith unless it was real...
