I think people 'created' a God, because they were not able to find reasons for phenomenons in the nature. For example lightning and earthquakes. I don't believe in a God, I believe in science. :P

I used to not believe there was a god, but I do now. I believe for my own personal reason which I will not disclose, but it is a great reaosn why.

For the people who do not believe in "God", if you are wrong...I feel very sorry for you.

    Now.
I'm Atheist, for my own reasons.
And if anything, I'd love to believe in god. I believe that the faith in god and all the religions helps a LOT of people through tougher times, whether the beliefs they hold are real or not.

    ..

    However.
That line in your post is one of the main reasons I have to dislike religion. People who feel "Sorry" for Atheists because we're all going to hell or we don't live a "Full Life"

If your being allowed to follow your beliefs as a Christian/Jew/Muslim etc. etc. then Atheists have as much right to follow their...non...beliefs.

I wasnt bashing atheist or saying that they were wrong. Remeber, I have been there. I was just saying that IF non believers are wrong about there not being a "God", then there would possibly be reason to empathise with them if they were to suffer.

There's a lot of evidence to back up evolution, so don't even try to bring that up buddy.

My point still stands, just not specific to your post.

    Either way.
many people say there is evil etc. in the world and still a god because he allows Free Will. Now if the Rapture happened to occur or something, a god truly believing in Free Will would surely let people who have been good but possibly atheist to survive?

Believeing in god doesn't make you a good person.

Note ; I'm not arguing with you here :)

    evolution doesn't cut it, sorry.

"Darwin admitted that millions of ‘missing links,’ transitional life forms, would have to be discovered in the fossil record to prove the accuracy of his theory that all species had gradually evolved by chance mutation into new species. Unfortunately for his theory, despite hundreds of millions spent on searching for fossils worldwide for more than a century, the scientists have failed to locate a single missing link out of the millions that must exist if their theory of evolution is to be vindicated." Grant R. Jeffery, The Signature of God

"There are gaps in the fossil graveyard, places where there should be ----- forms, but where there is nothing whatsoever instead. No paleontologist . . . denies that this is so. It is simply a fact. Darwin’s theory and the fossil record are in conflict." David Berlinsky

"Scientists concede that their most cherished theories are based on embarrassingly few fossil fragments and that huge gaps exist in the fossil record." Time magazine, Nov. 7, 1977

    Great sources.

The fossil record is just one of the pieces of evidence for evolution. 'The conditions under which fossilization takes place are quite rare; and it is highly unlikely that any given organism will leave behind a fossil'. Offcourse were not going to find a fossil of every single animal thats existed, to do this we would have to dig up ever single inch of land. Something that isn't possible.
I suggest you read http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/comdesc/ or you could just keep pickingquotes from creationists.

k I don't really doubt or back the fact that there is a god.

Ask yourself this question though, where did the spark of life comefrom before there was life on this planet? There had to be something that seeded life on this planet and I am not saying it is GOD cause I think that's just a fairy tale. Atoms don't just one day become a conscious being with out a spark from something fathering that life. animal cells and plant cells are one in the same in the meaning that they need something to parent them through the process of some form of birth *child, or seed and what not*.

just ask yourself that question. Could be god, could be who's looking at us from afar laughing at how stupid we really are compared to those who created the life of this world. Who knows but after you ask yourself the question just stop asking yourself the question and quit asking everyone else cause it's getting old and it's a waste of time. Life is to short to wonder why.

I am merely pointing out the fact that we are way beyond understanding where anything come from and to think that we are the only ones in the entire universe than we've been doomed for a long time cause it's too much a belief that we are God's so called children lol

There's definitely something out there and we are not even close to the top of the chain of life merely infants in the knowledge to come.

Go read a book. Not the bible. For all you who believe some old man with a bearde put us here to be faithful servants is just a bunch of bull. If you read, youd know that when a star explodes it contains life cells, but then many ask, how did a star explode, fact is, WHO CARES.

Back on topic, if there wasnt a god i would dance around naked cussing my way through the halls of school, drinking alchohol til i drop, and look at women as lust for my own enjoyment WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT SIN!

oh wait, i alrdy dont worry about sin.....

    Fossils show nothing of evolution.

And what a prime example of tolerance we've got here. Fifteen years old, a Senses Fail hoodie... Yeah, great example of who I go to for advice on what's right or wrong.

See, the thing is this. I can tolerate atheists; I've got quite a few friends that believe so. I can tolerate people of other religions; again, I've got friends that worship differently than I do. The only thing I ask is that I recieve the same courtesy in return. People like you are a prime example of why people like me wonder why they even bother coming to an online forum to post.
