lol, you are a hypocrit. for measure, i am 20 years old. so i dont think the term children holds any truth to what you are labeling me. and what would i be wrong about. like you religious types have been blabering about is that there is no credible way to know if god exists or does not exist. so i wouldnt be wrong, having a different opinion than your narrow minded one does not mean i am wrong. im not going to "generalize" that i have gathered most information and insight into the argument, but deep down i know it is true because your rebuttal on "macro" evolution and others is simply weak. it sounds like you are just using an economic term to sound more intelectual. but really, you are cherry picking things to hold onto and believe and to critisize and beat down on people who show the slightest bit of inteligence on the subject. Clearly that is what the catholic church has been doing for the last milenium. It was until copernicus and Gallileo came and proved that the sun does not revolve around the earth, the religious institution took a backflip.

I may have generalized a few of my arguments, but really it serves as a witty remark about religion. if you really want me to be specific on my arguments, you'll have to wait till i eat my launch, go to my interview.

    Merged Post:

man this caught my attention before i was about to leave the house.

So you deny and pummel me with unjust comments that anti religious comments are backed scientific proff and research. So tell me, you clearly find this too entertaining and stupid, why do you think otherwise? you dont include a single rebutal on that argument, neighter do you with the war and genocide argument. you are too typical, you just dodging the argument by adding your own insight while you try to bring me down with your comments of my weak IQ. and my IQ is 134 to be exact.

now until you show credible backup to your mockery of me, i will be ignoring your saturated comments.

oh, and chew on this: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-43...oot+of+all+evil

if i had to choose a god, Richard dawkins would be that person. go ahead! flame me more! it is funny to see you two get so upset and hurt over a few arguments so you can go the distance and mock someone to the ground.

    No

    Irrelevant

You see from this I can assume you don't understand Natural selection as much as you think. Natural selection doesn't state the useless parts of an organ are 'killed off', it states that if the trait affects the ability of the organism to reproduce then it's not passed on. Likewise if the new trait increases the fitness of the organism the organism is more likely to produce more offspring. You seem to bring these 'clockmaker' examples to the board quite often, just because we may no be able to explain something 100% doesn't mean that a more simple idea is to blame.

With the evolution of an eye you wouldn't have 'half an organ' you would just have an eye that displayed images in low quality. Eyes wouldn't have instantly mutated into half of a human eye, it would have started with just an eye spot. There organisms around today with these simple eyes.

Anyway more information of the evolution of eyes, I'm sure you will be able to refute it as it's too complex to arise from simple mutations.

Well done for refuting Evolution, maybe you should publish your paper now with all this evidence you've gathered.
So where is your study of this 'actual practise'?
Anyway lets start from the basics. Any traits that affects the organisms fitness to the extent that it stops them from reproducing are not passed on. Selection only occurs when a population's traits are diverse in relation to their environment, negative selection occurs and is just a part of the cycle.

Do you understand the circumstances that fossils form? To find every fossil that has existed we would have to dig up the entire surface of the earth, realistically that isn't happening.
We have a lot of transitional fossil which show us the changes of life throughout time.
    http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-transitional.html
Just a question. How old do you believe the Earth to be? Do you believe all life has stayed the same throughout that time?

    Above

What else does it show? We know that some animals are more like others, we can see this through the Phenotype and can verify through the genotype, how does this not show relationship? Did god place these animals here to trick us?

Evolution doesn't set out to explain how the actual origin of life, just as how atomic theory doesn't explain where atoms come from. We haven't being able to recreate it yet and we probably won't be able to for a long time, I don't see how this refutes evolution though.

Once again another example that proves nothing.

The same people that wrote 'The creation explanation?'. Many of there claims have been shown to be in error. Either way the probabilities of life starting are very very low, but we this doesn't prove or disprove evolution.

If there was no God for everyone the world be alot better in my opnion. Wars have indeed been fought over religion and many have died for i believe is a stupid reason. There has to be 'true' reason for everything in the world.

I myself don't have a religion and believe that it is a rather stupid thing. Many religious people were brought up thinking that God truly existed. Many, not all, of these people do unjust things based on the fact that "God" has everything to do with the decisions people should make and if people chose otherwise those people must perish to cleanse this earth of sins. Although killing this people is sinful, who cares because "God" will obviously forgive those sinners because they are doing these acts for "God"

    No God = Better Place

If you can't back up your own argument, don't get pissed when it gets torn down.

Wow, you insult Christianity and ferret, try to argue about how stupid religion is, and then when someone posts a reply that makes you look like an utter fool, you decide to degrade to the third grade and him call names...wow.

Me congratulating you guys on the longest Religion Thread was not a signal to get it closed... resorting to name-calling is a very efficient way of getting threads closed.

who is talking about christianity here? did you see me mention that. go ahead highlight where you see this.
(assuming this is what you are talking about since u are defending christianity and the time period fits...)
the spirtual world was developed WELL before the time of christians/muslims/budhist w/e tf u are thinking about. If you would like proof of this then take a anthropology class, (as i have and aced i may mention) there is clear evidence of later hominids.

Agreed. Grow up and learn to accept others opinions although you may not believe in them yourselves.

What is it with all atheist that they have to try and refute religion as if it is heritism. There are those who are very very adamant about religion [Fargo! :P] and follow it to live a better life. Why try to take that away?
