Obviously you don't understand slavery in those days do you? Slavery wasn't about race or gender. It was man's free will the God allowed us to have. Maybe you should research more on this before making a irrelevant argument.

Read if for yourself, someone pointing you to it does no good because they can easily alter it and distort the whole doctrine. When you read it for yourself and gain understanding and then weak arguments won't stand a chance. Also, you have to believe in it to even consider it true. Many folks claim the Bible has mistakes and only point out the accounts of the 4 gospels which is stupid because these were 4 different witnesses.

I love how it's always Atheists denying god, being ridiculous and going to hell.
Yet so many people in this thread are forcing their religion down each others throats, only a few truly intelligent answers (Ferret, Falcon) That don't include

"God is real you just can't understand him and your going to hell ^^"
    Or
"God is uber fake and iz fairy3tal3 4 kidz!!11!"

    Mmhm.
You can not turn someone Atheist over a forum, you can not turn someone Muslim/Christian over a forum. So why bother trying? You can explain your views, but STATING plain and simple. There is a god, your wrong, or vice versa without any leniance is just ignorance.

I have been saved, but it was forced upon me. I once thought that there was a GOD, but now I don't. I have no real reasons to believe that there is a GOD and I don't have any proof that there is not one. I am at a stage where I just want to live my life and not hear people bicker about religion.

I am 18 I just got out of jail for a possession charge, I was 17 at the time of the conviction, still a child in my mind, I knew what I did was wrong but I didn't think of the consequences, I thought it was cool. Now at the moment the DA has control over the rest of my life. He can let me go into the army or give me my felony. If he lets me go into the army then the rest of my life is paved. If he gives me a felony it will be very hard for me to live a decent life and create a family. Now in my mind why would God put my life in someone elses hands? I know that what I did was my fault and I should reap the consequences, but I was young, and I do not want something that i did when I was young and stupid to affect the rest of my life.

    Understand my point of views?

If you were "forced" to be a Christian then you really weren't saved. Salvation is by your choice, not force. I could understand your view about not wanting to hear about "religion", But i just want to say that Jesus loves you, no matter where your at and no matter what your going through. He will always accept you when or if you want to make that choice in your life. If you choose not to, thats your choice and I will respect that choice. But blaming the government, parents, friends isn't the choice. I hope that you make it out of your situation.

    God bless

    It's a threat though.
You threaten people who don't follow your religion.

"etc.. and tell them that they are a sinner, and tell them the consequences that may happen,"

I don't understand why only few religions feel the need to do this, of course not all of them or no where near everyone in them.
But let people lead their own damn life, telling someone if they lead the path they're leading and that they're probaly going to hell for it to suffer for eternity is...not..nice?

People have to make their own mistakes, a murderer is not going to stop killing because he suddenly finds out that apparently "Jesus loves him".
A starving child in Africa is not suddenly going to get healthy and live past the age of 10 because "Jesus Loves him."

A lot of people who truly believe in Christianity die when they don't fking deserve it, yet "Sinning" "Atheist Criminals" get to live to 80. Jesus will bring you salvation if you truly believe in him? Yeah, I'm sure. So when my friends VERY Christian cousin, went to church when she could, and was one of the nicest people I've ever met. When she died in a car crash...Did Jesus judge her not worthy to be saved? Hm. That was nice of him. ^^

Just because your Cousin was the nicest person on earth, and didn't believe in God and was never saved. She is still LOST. You can know the whole bible in and out and still find your way into hell. Because you never gave your life to Jesus. Everyone makes their mistakes. Even myself. Christians aren't perfect as mane suspect. Some people accept the Gift that Christ has for them, some do not.

LOL I will get a whole thing... Not to critisize religions but it is pretty funny. BTW I am a Muslim....

Dono... maybe if you wanted to know.

    Edit:

    Code:
Dr. Laura Schlessinger is a radio personality who dispenses advice to people who call in to her radio show. Recently, she said that, as an observant Orthodox Jew, homosexuality is an abomination according to Leviticus 18:22 and cannot be condoned under any circumstance. The following is an open letter to Dr. Laura penned by a east coast resident, which was posted on the Internet. It's funny, as well as informative: Dear Dr. Laura:
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate. I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other specific laws and how to follow them:
When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?
I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.
    Your devoted fan,
    Jim
I am sure that it is wrong in some places but it is pretty funny.

ONCE AGAIN I AM NOT PUTTING DOWN RELIGION. Just fueling the topic.

You know what ferret your too easy and you obviously don't get what I meant so I am not going to even start with you. How f'king ignorant do you have to be to cast judgement on ppl like he did? when you haven't the right to and if you think you do then quit being christian cause you just sh!t on the word of god. *judge and ye be judged* humans have not the right to judge but the right to seek justice.

In the statement made by him he totally spits on the words of the bible by what he's saying and it pisses me off cause it doesn't contribute to the bigger picture it only gives others cause to stray their beliefs.

SO STFU FERRET CAUSE YOU ARE TOO STUPID TO INTERPRET THE SITUATION
