What Effect is this?

What effect is used on the rappers? im thinking vectoring..but not 100% sure..anyone have an idea? help is really really appreciated..Im trying to start up my own site and wanna make a banned with similar effects

It seems like a simple vector to me. It looks like they just used one color instead of going detailed.

lines are too well done for it to be a live trace imo

 

Anyone know of a good link for vectoring or live trace?

 

take a render of a rapper and define it as a brush, then use your pencil tool and it will give you that effect, if you want it to be white vrs background like that set it to lighten

It must be some kinda of vectoring but I cant find any vector tuts that are good...

 

Does anyone else have an idea...I've tried Vectoring tuts ive found and nothin..Ive tried methods suggested in here and I get nothing..Lol...it's almost there's no real way to do it

 

When it comes to simple shapes, don't use a tutorial, just practice.
You'll need Illustrator first of all to actually make it a vector, and just make a new layer over your image and use the pen tool etc. to go over the lightest areas, detail isnt paramount.

 

they probbaly just did a cut out in photoshop and cleaned it up with the pen tool

Live Trace works...on most pictures....

I did this
