    Since im not a wiz kid and no little or nothing about building computers i wanna see what all of u think of this system i am problably going to be buying at the end of the summer, and since im goin to college in the fall i want sumthin thats powerful and is gonna last me a long time gaming wise and designing wise

    Brand - Dell Dimension XPS Gen 5
    Processor - Pentium Extreme Edition Dual Core w/ HT Tech (3.20GHz, 800FSB)
    Operating System - Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    Memory - 2 GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz- 4 DIMMs
    Hard Drive - 500GB Serial ATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM)
    CD/DVD Drive - Dual Drives: 16x DVD-ROM Drive + 48x CD-RW Drive
    Graphics Card - 256MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) nVidia GeForce 6800
    Sound Card - Sound Blaster Audigy ZS 2 Gamers Edition
    Speakers - Logitech Z5500 500 Watt 5.1 Digital Surround Speakers w/control pod

    Thats just the processor

    Heres the monitor i would like to get, i no its big but i like huge moniters :)

    Just give me some feedback on this system, its gonna cost me a lot of money but i have been saving up all of my money from like 3 summers and i have around 3000 dollars and i have two new jobs this summer

    Dude that will run awesome. only thing you could do better was go amd. But hey that is awesome how it is.

    i just wanted to go all out with sumthin that will last me a very long time and sumthin that will outdated in 1 year

    ^ wtf u talkin bout, nvida's 6800 is the second best card they got, since the 7800 came out.

    that machine is awesum. cept, like the dude said, if u had an amd cpu it woulda been better

    eeeeeeeewwwwwwwww dell, the pc its self looks good, just that its dell, i have had problems with them and i found them to be too pricey. I am not telling to go buy another place i am just giving my opinion on dell.

    6800 :P, why not get the radeon x850xt ????? much better and heck of alot cheaper than the nvidia card's.

    noooo! DONT BUY DELL.

    I've always hated premade computers, they're virtually uncostomizable, go out, and buy your own parts, then you can change whatever you like later.

    Yeah you should build you own,i got all my parts from ebay,works out better and a hell of alot cheaper.
