If you got the gaming rig to support it:

    HL2
    KOTOR 1 or 2
    Splinter Cell 3
    Halo
    CS Source

These'll keep you occupied for a while. :)

FPS: Half-Life 2 (with it's amazing graphics and gameplay, tons of awsome upcoming mods, and the fact that Counter-Strike: Source comes free with it, this is defiantly the best FPS up to this point), Call of Duty (best WW2 game so far in my opinion), SWAT 4, Battlefield Vietnam/1942, Brothers in Arms
Oldschool FPS: Soldier of Fortune 2, Half-Life 1, CS 1.6, Delta Force 2, Doom 95
Third Person: Hitman: Codename 47/Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Knight Jedi Academy, Splinter Cell, Star Wars Battlefront
RPG: KOTOR (If you're into RPGs, DEFIANTLY pick this up), KOTOR 2, Prince of Persia
MMORPGs: Guild Wars (no monthly fees)
Other + Other Oldschool: Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Midtown Madness 2, Lord of the Rings, Painkiller, Medal of Honor, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down
Coming Soon: Call of Duty 2 (Can't wait for this game, looks awsome) Battlefield 2 (An awsome modern combat FPS), Delta Force Xtreme, Commandos: Strike Force

Just a few of them. :-)

Half Life2, and the games that come with it...

Battlefield: Vietnam is good, and if you can wait a little, BF:2 :)

Counter-Strike Source (You need Half-Life2 to play)
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - A MUST have
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2
    Unreal Tournament 2004
    Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne
    Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction

DO NOT get Halo, it just sucks.
